wet baroque obscure

Galerie Joseph, Paris, France, 2014

In this exhibition: the body as anonymous subject, fragile and sensual actor of the story told. Female, male and animal bodies search for their desires, stretching out their movements, exploring space to the very limits of dance. Transformed into objects, their alchemy draws the viewer into a free world, where songs are heard. Immobile, the inks expose themselves to be seen in the fulgurance of a trembling moment, asymmetrical and baroque.

"On the paper void that blackness devours..." from the throbbing penetration of ink are born the forms of this obscure humidity, we must hasten to save the bodies, fragile creatures, to which only flashes of light in pulsating strokes give life, innocence, eroticism, lightness, languor. Surrounding these random or desired patches of light, an obscure, humid and baroque world moves, in these dramatic or playful translucencies, the fascinated eye scrutinizes the night of ink to discover the palpitation of a carnal opalescence.
